Bring the whole class to Riverhouse
A field trip should do more than take children out of the classroom. It should strengthen what they are already learning through storytelling, pottery, painting, drawing, needlework and more.
How we plan for your field trip
We start by talking with the teacher to learn what curriculum you’d like to strengthen through the arts, and we share our ideas for what we can do with the children.
That’s a 30-minute planning call. From there we design the day around what your students are studying, so the clay, the paint and the stories carry the lessons they’re already learning.
What to expect
We divide the class into two groups so everyone has room to work.
First session
The first 45-minute session runs from 9:30 to 10:15 AM.
Break and second session
After a 15-minute break, the second 45-minute session runs from 10:30 to 11:15 AM.
Lunch and time together
Afterward, children can eat the lunch they brought and enjoy time together outdoors, weather permitting. There is plenty of indoor space when the weather turns.
What a visit costs
$36 for each child
That covers both studios, the clay, the paint, the thread, and the piece each child takes home. We invoice once we’ve agreed a day, so asking costs you nothing.
